Curtis Henning had a dream run in his professional wrestling career. He accomplished many notable achievements in NWA, American Wrestling Association, WCW and in the WWF. Billed as ‘Mr. Perfect’, he was a two-time WWF Intercontinental Champion and he has been named by WWE as one of the top five Intercontinental Champions of all time.

He started his WWE career with the ring name Michael McGillicutty. His comeback last year was impressive. WWE certainly planned something big for Axel as he defeated Triple H twice on RAW. He later became a Paul Heyman guy and won the IC title.

Once he lost the title, he lost his way in the business and now is roaming around with the gimmick of ‘AxelMania’ which one has to admit, still has kept him as a crowd favourite.

He was the father of third generation wrestler Chavo Guerrero Jr. He is the oldest WWE Cruiserweight Champion.

His son Chavo Guerrero accrued a considerable amount of success in WWE. He was a one-time World Champion having held the ECW Championship once in 2008 and a six-time WCW/WWE Cruiserweight Champion. He has also achieved notable success in tag team wrestling, being a five-time World Tag Team Champion.
