The fans were delighted to watch Bryan back in action as the Bearded Genius is often considered as one of the greatest in-ring performers of all-time. The yes chants were back as the little genius returned and was ready to reach the pinnacle of world wrestling once more.
While serving as the GM of SmackDown, Bryan formed a hot relationship with The Miz and the WWE Universe profoundly wanted this matchup to take place and they got exactly the same.
The Miz and Daniel Bryan formed an interesting rivalry which even involved Brie Bella and Maryse.
Bryan then stepped in the ring with the Phenomenal One, AJ Styles in what was termed as a dream match. Both the superstars gave the WWE Universe plenty to cheer about and fought for the WWE Championship a number of times. Bryan turned heel and ended the year as the new WWE Champion.
