#3 Daniel Bryan vs. The Fiend
For the entire month of January, the most intriguing storyline on Smackdown Live was the continuing story of Daniel Bryan and The Fiend. From Bryan getting beaten all the way to him finally getting a lock of Wyatt's hair on the go-home show for the Royal Rumble.
That would set us up for the number three match on this list, and the two men vying for the Universal Championship in a strap match at the Royal Rumble. This match would be absolutely brutal and would feature Bryan being repeatedly whipped with the strap.
There wasn't alot of technical work to be done in this match instead the story, intensity and the crowd is what elevated this match past many of the others in January. The crowd was fully behind the bearded hero and they wanted to see The Fiend lose his title and chant "Yes" all the way to WrestleMania.
Instead, The Fiend would get the win in a very exciting ending to the match and would dissapear after the match ended, while Bryan needed help out of the ring.
