WWE CCO Triple H will return to television!

WWE CCO Triple H is announced to make a special appearance on SmackDown tonight as the show marks the season premiere. The company has been stacking up its weekly shows to spike ratings and turn eyes to its product of late.

Interestingly, a report has surfaced online that former IMPACT Wrestling star Nick Aldis will make his television debut as the blue brand's new General Manager. Considering that the reason for Triple H's return has not been disclosed, it's safe to assume that it may be for the 36-year-old's introduction.

This week saw WWE NXT and AEW Dynamite go head-to-head. A healthy war between the two companies is a win for the viewers as it translates on-screen with good-quality content.

Speaking of Nick Aldis, who is also the real-life husband of former WWE star Mickie James, several fans have voiced their displeasure that Aldis isn't working as a wrestler in the Stamford-based promotion. His on-screen debut may be a ray of hope for that to come to fruition down the line.

Nick Aldis becoming the GM of SmackDown would effectively move Adam Pearce to RAW exclusively. Aside from the rumored debut of Aldis tonight, the show is also set to feature John Cena and the returning Roman Reigns.

Nick Aldis on working for WWE as a producer and indie shows as a wrestler

Nick Aldis recently disclosed the nature of his deal during an interview with McGuire On Wrestling. The former NWA World Champion detailed about what it's like shuttling between working for the Stamford-based company and giving dates for other wrestling promotions:

"Fortunately, WWE [has] been very understanding of [my schedule]. There have been times where I’ve been unable to make certain shows because of my independent commitments, and also because of Mickie’s commitments. Fitting it all in is a challenge, but certainly fun. Basically, I’m currently attending RAW and SmackDown whenever I can," Aldis shared.

He went on to express gratitude for the working relationship he has presently with the global juggernaut:

"I think it’s safe to say I’m working with WWE, yes. That’s the way I look at it — I’m working with them at the moment. At least from my point of view, I feel like it’s been very positive, and I’ve enjoyed it. And it’s been rewarding, and I’m very obviously flattered that they would want my input and expertise, … especially with helping some of the younger talent that are coming up from NXT." There is also the possibility of Nick Aldis catching up with an old foe on tonight's show - Cody Rhodes. The latter and Jey Uso are the Undisputed Tag Team Champions, which allows them to appear on both shows.
