Alexa Bliss is arguably one of the most popular WWE Superstars of this generation and has garnered millions of fans. Most fans show their support by buying her merch, talking about her online, and meeting her at events. However, some fans took it up a notch and it cost them majorly.
Alexa Bliss began her WWE career in 2013 as part of the NXT roster and her rise to stardom skyrocketed when she joined the main roster in 2016. She held the RAW Women's Championship three times, the SmackDown Women's title twice, the Women's Tag Team Champion three times, and is even a former Money in the Bank winner. Her skills not only won her gold but also the hearts of fans. However, some fans showed too much support and admiration.
In June 2023, Alexa Bliss was accused of being a scammer after a fan demanded the superstar return the money a verified account "stole" from him. The fan even went as far as to accuse Ryan Cabrera, the WWE star's husband, of being behind the account and demanded to see a marriage license to prove she was married.

The former RAW Women's Champion confirmed that it wasn't her that the fan was talking to and encouraged him to report it to the police and asked him to stop harassing her. Unfortunately, this wasn't the first time somebody used Alexa to scam people.
In 2022, Bliss had to issue another message saying that she wasn't making personal accounts to reach out to fans and act as if they were dating. In 2021, she addressed another fan, stating that they had never spoken, and to stop harassing her and Ryan. Earlier that year, she also reminded fans that she only had one X and Instagram account.
Alexa Bliss' image was recently used again to scam an elderly man
Alexa Bliss is currently not active in WWE after giving birth to her daughter. However, this hasn't stopped people from using her to scam innocent people.
A New York Times article recently reported the story of Alfred Mancinelli, a man in his 70s who passed away earlier this year and whose son, Chris, discovered that he was in a romantic relationship with Alexa.
Chris saw photos of Bliss in his father's home after the passing and shared that his father would open up emotionally to the scammer. During the "relationship," Alfred was scammed of his retirement savings and granddaughter's college fund. He also took out personal loans and would provide regular financial support for "Alexa's" medical and other urgent needs, amounting to almost $1 million.
Despite the endless reminders from WWE stars, it's unfortunate that fans and regular citizens continue to get targeted by scammers.
