Bayley retained her title but there's something cooking!
Bayley successfully defended her title in a Fatal 5-way Elimination Match against her Sasha Banks, Lacey Evans, Naomi, and Tamina. The longest-reigning SmackDown Women’s Champion in WWE history managed to walk out of WrestleMania 36 with her title retained and surprisingly, with her best friend Sasha Banks by her side.

Although Bayley had help from an eliminated Sasha Banks to perform the final elimination, it was trash-talking and heelish tactics that rose as one of the biggest highlights of this encounter. From insulting her opponents to firing back at Michael Cole, Bayley kept this match entertaining.
At times when she was genuinely squaring off against the challengers, she looked like a more dominant version of herself.
There was a spot in the match when Bayley kicked Banks by mistake and then directed Lacy Evans towards her best friend which caused the latter’s elimination. Banks was expected to turn on Bayley but she came back inside the ring to help Bayley retain her Championship.
It is quite obvious that the creatives have decided to sow the seeds of the much-awaited feud between Banks and Bayley. Hopefully, we will see this storyline run its due course in the coming months.
