In the weeks leading up to WrestleMania Backlash, a few seeds for an alliance between Charlotte Flair and Sonya Deville have been planted. The former Fire and Desire member returned to WWE at the start of 2021 as an assistant to Adam Pearce, but her role has grown over time.

Deville now makes many decisions on RAW and SmackDown, and a possible power struggle with Pearce looms. Some of these decisions have directly concerned Charlotte.

Deville allowed The Queen back into the building a week after getting suspended for attacking WWE officials. She then added Charlotte to the match at WrestleMania Backlash between Rhea Ripley and Asuka.

Fans consider the 11-time Women's Champion a favorite of WWE's management, so it would be smart to turn this idea into a proper storyline. It would cement Charlotte Flair as the top female heel once again, this time with the visible backing of an authority figure.

Sonya Deville could turn corrupt at WrestleMania Backlash, as she gifts the win and the RAW Women's Championship to The Queen.
