10 Most annoying catchphrases in WWE history

9.’Vintage

Commentator Michael Cole’s use of the word vintage has lost it’s significance

The next person to have an annoying catchphrase is Miz’s former fanboy, Michael Cole. Don’t rest assured, as this isn’t the last of Cole’s appearance on this list. Michael Cole was given one major heel push during one summer and that may be the most mind-numbing time to deal with his commentary.

That fanboy gimmick built him into being one of the most annoying WWE personalities on screen. The moment that helped him become bearable was the way he handled the commentary after Lawler’s heart attack incident during Raw.

The ‘Vintage’ catchphrase was overused so much during commentary. No wonder, those were one of the worst years of commentary in the WWE.

8.’Ryback Rules’

Ryback hasn’t found his feet in the company

There is some untapped potential in Ryback, the superstar, but Creative is just unable to find the right gimmick for the dude. They made him start out by competing in squash matches which went on for a long, long time. Many gimmick changes later, Ryback’s character is still not fully formed.

WWE tried the ‘feed me more’ phrase to catch on, which has achieved some moderate success. But ‘Ryback Rules’ was just so forced. It was something a kindergartner would exclaim.
