3 Possible Opponents for Seth Rollins after Hell in a Cell

From the start of 2014, WWE was having a tough time establishing a strong heel character apart from Hunter and his wife. The Shield’s breakup angle washed off that jinx and the company had Seth Rollins in their hand. The fans found it easy to hate someone who betrayed his brothers within no time, Rollins managed to make his own mark in the roster as a heel. His association with the Authority made matters easier for the Architect and he would reach the peak of his heel run at Hell in a Cell when he faces the Lunatic Fringe, Dean Ambrose.Ambrose and Rollins have been running the program ever since Shield broke up and with the Hell in a Cell stipulation in place, Sunday might be the climax of the storyline. End of one angle opens new doors for everyone and here are the possible opponents that Rollins could have after Hell in a Cell.

#3 Roman Reigns

Reigns might still be stuck in the injury list but the chances of him making a return at Hell in a Cell cannot be counted out.

WWE did try to run an angle with Rollins and Reigns before Night of Champions but the injury Reigns suffered made it a big mess thus leaving the story incomplete. Now since Hell in a Cell would end one part of Rollins’ past, the next part should follow immediately.

Reigns, after being out of television for a long time would need good opponent that can put him over and Rollins meets all the requirements.

WWE would find it tough to pick a winner from the feud but it would be great to see the two former team mates lock horn once again and have a real conclusion this time.

#2 John Cena

The WWE is in such a crisis that their second best baby face in the roster is John Cena. The same Cena who evokes both ‘let’s go Cena’ and ‘Cena sucks’ chants.

For a heel to raise up the rankings it is necessary to have some credible baby faces in the opponent list and now that Rollins would finish his feud with the top one, Cena looks set to be next in line.

Before Ambrose won that ridiculous contract on a pole match at Raw, Cena was looking to get his hands on Rollins as well.

Cena still has a grudge with Rollins over the Night of Champions incident and the continuation of that storyline would be well received by the WWE Universe.

#1 Randy Orton

The problem with WWE’s shallow babyface list was mentioned earlier and the best way to solve that would be to let Orton turn face. His heel run has been forgettable to the core and the viper needs a fresh start.

The tease about his face turn has been received well by the fans and most of the credit goes to Rollins who made Orton look good in the limited time he got.

Rollins also went to curb stomp Orton on Raw which would’ve been the breaking point for the viper. With Orton set to face Cena for the No.1 contendership at Hell in a Cell and Rollins holding the Money in the bank briefcase, it will provide an apt subplot as well.

A fresh babyface run by the Orton would do wonders for both superstars and give the fans a credible feud amidst all the chaos.
