Five championships are currently scheduled to be defended at WWE Backlash. These include the WWE Championship, Universal Championship, United States Championship, RAW Women's Championship, and the Women's Tag Team Championships.

Of all these title matches, at least one championship could change hands at WWE Backlash. Bobby Lashley could dethrone Drew McIntyre to win the WWE Championship, winning his first world title since he returned to the company in 2018.

The Miz and John Morrison are set to challenge Braun Strowman for the Universal Championship in a 2-on-1 handicap match. They could use this advantage to take the title off Strowman, who has the odds stacked against him. Perhaps Miz could walk out with the title or John Morrison could win his first world championship in WWE.

The IIconics made their return to the company a few weeks ago, and they're set to face Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross and Banks & Bayley in a triple threat tag team match for the Women's Tag Titles. Billie Kay and Peyton Royce could win the match and walk out as two-time Women's Tag Team Champions at WWE Backlash.
