– Chris Jericho has had a similar background to that of Daniel Bryan before he came into the WWE. He was a very well-known figure in Japan and on the independent scene just like Bryan and thus feels deeply hurt to see him retire early. Jericho and Bryan have been two of the best wrestlers to have ever step foot into the WWE with unwavering love from the fans.
There have been many instances of concussions causing fatal incidents. Bryan revealed after his retirement that he had suffered seizures due to his concussions and decided to retire and prioritize his health before anything else.
Jericho praised the WWE for not clearing him even though he was and still is an asset to the company. Jericho added that there was a lot of speculation that WWE was not clearing Bryan forcefully and said that it was not the case and that the WWE made a really great decision by putting Bryan’s health first.
He also said that people may think the whole retirement thing was an angle, but it was the realest thing that happened there. He divulged that he is unhappy about the fact that Daniel can never wrestle again, but added that concussions are serious and it was the right thing to do.
