WWE Elimination Chamber 2021: Five things we learned

#3 A WrestleMania storyline for the WWE Championship title has been built at Elimination Chamber

In the Elimination Chamber, Drew McIntyre managed to defend the WWE Championship against five former champions in a grueling main event match. Drew McIntyre was able to fend off Jeff Hardy, Randy Orton, Sheamus, Kofi Kingston, and AJ Styles to keep hold of the title.

However, his celebration didn't last long as Bobby Lashley arrived to deliver a vicious beat down to the champion. This created the perfect opportunity for The Miz to cash in his Money in the Bank contract and become the new WWE Champion as Elimination Chamber drew to a close.

An alliance between The Miz and The Hurt Business was alluded to earlier in the night, as the A-Lister and MVP were seen in discussion backstage. Bobby Lashley lost the United States Championship to Riddle earlier in the night, with John Morrison taking the pin in the Triple Threat Match.

With Bobby Lashley being shown as such a dominant fixture of the WWE men's division at Elimination Chamber, it appears as though he may be involved in the WWE Championship picture at WrestleMania 37, alongside Drew McIntyre. There are many avenues to explore between the three men on the road to WrestleMania, with alliances pontially broken, and the chance of another title change, before the stars hit the Grandest Stage Of Them All in a few weeks time.
