WWE Elimination Chamber: Rollins should be the first member to leave the Shield

WWE has been pretty clear in showing the cracks within the Shield in the past two weeks with Ambrose and Reigns being at loggerheads and Rollins trying his best to maintain a truce. Even though they are at their formidable best when it comes to going face to face against the Wyatts, the gathering storm of Reigns’ success and the spiraling jealousy of Dean Ambrose is getting clearer every passing week. So much so that it is expected that this trio will reach its inevitable end at the Elimination Chamber. Rollins has been the glue to this force so far. So will he finally get fed up of this civil war in the group and decide to leave and trigger the inevitable split?

Reports claim that if Daniel Bryan is not involved in the main event match with Orton and Batista then the WWE will go ahead and stage a triple threat match between the Shield. So a full on split is still a bit faraway. It’ll be a bit soon to give these three talented young stars individual careers with the Creative already struggling to come up with compelling storylines for the rest of its roster.

So, keeping all this in mind, Rollins might just leave to let his fellow brethren to figure out their issues and then maybe eventually come back stronger as a formidable group and face the Wyatts again at Wrestlemania in a winning cause but, to add a dramatic element, still break up the following night on Raw as they are unable to get over their differences.

Since the beginning of the year, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns are shown to have several disagreements with each other, whether it was Dean Ambrose tagging himself in to score the pin and win to Reigns’ utter shock or Reigns instigating Ambrose to defend his dormant US title or the Royal Rumble incidents- the unity of the group seems to be in jeopardy. So the one question raised was which side will Rollins take? Will he side with Reigns to being an envious Ambrose on his feet or will he side with Ambrose and avenge his elimination at the Royal Rumble by Reigns?

OR..

What if Rollins himself decides to leave the group cold in the middle of the Elimination Chamber match?

Since all the tension built thus far in their feud with the Wyatts is between Ambrose and Reigns, this Rollins turn will definitely be shocking and interesting to elevate Rollins’ character. Till now he has been that guy in the Shield who puts on great performances in the ring and definitely works well with both Ambrose and Reigns. While Ambrose seemed like the defacto leader before, Reigns seems to have smoothly taken over that role for now which has left Rollins to look like the most unselfish member of the group.

This move by Rollins will definitely give some much deserved spotlight to his character and a lot more depth to Shield as a trio.
