WWE Extreme Rules 2020: 5 Finishes for Bray Wyatt vs Braun Strowman (Wyatt Swamp Fight)

What all can go down during the Wyatt Swamp Fight?
What all can go down during the Wyatt Swamp Fight?

We are merely days away from WWE Extreme Rules which has been advertised as "The Horror Show at Extreme Rules" this year. This massive change in the name has got the WWE Universe talking as to what the company plans to do at the upcoming PPV.

From the looks of it, there will be quite a lot of horror elements to it and one of the matches that could justify this name change is that between Bray Wyatt and the Universal Champion, Braun Strowman.

After defeating the Firefly Funhouse version of Bray Wyatt at Money in the Bank 2020, Braun Strowman will now be facing the "cult leader" persona of Bray.

It would be interesting to see how the Monster Among Men battles his inner demons of going up against his former master. An interesting point to note is that the match at Extreme Rules is not for the Universal Championship.

The biggest question leading into the Wyatt Swamp Fight is what to expect from it and more importantly, how does one win the match?

With Bray Wyatt involved in creating the match, in all likeliness, it will be something completely different from the "cinematic matches" that we've seen in WWE so far. The added horror element to the entire thing makes it more exciting and I, personally, can't wait to see the match at Extreme Rules this Sunday.

Without further ado, let's take a look at five possible finishes for the Wyatt Swamp Fight at "The Horror Show at Extreme Rules". Be sure to comment down and let us know what bizarre things do you think can happen during this match?

#5 Erick Rowan returns to help Bray Wyatt win at Extreme Rules

Before I begin, let me mention one thing. I don't think there would be any sort of referee or pinfalls in the Wyatt Swamp fight at Extreme Rules. In all likeliness, it's going to be a brawl between two forces who just want to destroy each other. How will the match end? Well, my guess is as good as yours!

One of the possibilities, which is also being speculated by several WWE fans is the return of the "white sheep" of the Wyatt Family - Erick Rowan. Rowan was released from WWE earlier this year in April, as part of the COVID-19 budget cuts. The entire reason for this being a "Wyatt Swamp Fight" is because the two want to take it back to where it all started.

With the match being a "cinematic" one, expect a lot of flashbacks of their Wyatt Family days, through which Bray could further tempt Braun Strowman to "let him in".

If nothing works, Bray Wyatt might use his final trump card - Erick Rowan. There's no way Luke Harper can appear at the Wyatt Swamp Fight at Extreme Rules since he is signed to All Elite Wrestling.

But that's not true for Rowan, who can come back for a one-off appearance, just like Heath Slater. Or, maybe he could re-sign with WWE and get involved in the feud further.

#4 Bray Wyatt wins at Extreme Rules, Braun Strowman teases joining him

Leading to the Money in the Bank match between Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman, the entire motive of Wyatt was to convince Strowman to join him again.

We got a tease of Strowman giving in when he wore his "black sheep" mask, only to take it off and crush it later. While Strowman was able to resist then, will he be able to do the same at Extreme Rules?

In my opinion, Bray Wyatt is the favorite to win the "Wyatt Swamp Fight" at Extreme Rules, and there are two major reasons for that.

One, the match is not for the Universal Championship, so losing here won't be a big momentum-break for the Monster Among Men. Second, WWE is likely to stretch this rivalry to Summerslam, and for that, Bray Wyatt needs to make it 1-1 at Extreme Rules, after losing at Money in the Bank.

One of the possible endings of this match at Extreme Rules could see Braun Strowman embracing his inner monster and joining hands with Bray Wyatt.

But how will WWE deal with this, considering Strowman is the Universal Champion? Well, it could all be a ploy from the Monster Among Men to win the trust of his former master and finally understand the hidden secrets inside the Firefly Funhouse and expose Bray Wyatt's (or even The Fiend's) weakness.

Remember how Rambling Rabbit has always wanted to reveal some massive secret before being "killed" by Bray Wyatt on several occasions?

#3 Braun Strowman defeats Bray Wyatt at Extreme Rules, The Fiend takes him out

One of the biggest things to note throughout this Bray Wyatt vs Braun Strowman rivalry is that we are yet to see Wyatt unleash The Fiend on the Monster Among Men. One possible explanation is that Wyatt wants to heal, and not hurt, Strowman, but could it all change at Extreme Rules?

After Bray Wyatt lost to the Universal Champion at Money in the Bank, we saw the flashes of The Fiend on his face, but he instead brought back the "cult leader" persona of himself who will be facing Braun Strowman at Extreme Rules. Now, as much as I believe Wyatt will walk out with the victory, I can't completely rule out a Strowman win.

But, what happens if Wyatt isn't able to defeat his "black sheep" at Extreme Rules? One has to believe that it would be enough of a trigger for him to give in and unleash The Fiend on Braun Strowman.

We are most likely heading towards a massive Braun Strowman vs 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt match for the Universal Championship at SummerSlam, and the seeds of the same could be sown at Extreme Rules itself!

Braun Strowman overcame the Firefly Funhouse of Bray Wyatt, and he might just overcome the "cult leader" persona at Extreme Rules as well. But when it comes to The Fiend, does he stand any chance?

#2 Bray Wyatt traps Braun Strowman in the Swamp at Extreme Rules

On the go-home SmackDown episode of "The Horror Show at Extreme Rules", we got a unique version of the Firefly Funhouse where Bray Wyatt appeared in his "cult leader" avatar at the swamp.

In his typical mysterious tone, he spoke about the horrors that lay underneath the swamp and had the following warning for Braun Strowman -

"Once you enter, you can never truly leave... Come home."

Well, you can just dismiss it as another statement from Bray Wyatt to scare Strowman, but what if he really means to do it at Extreme Rules?

The Eater of Worlds has previously mentioned how the swamp is his home, and the various wildlife in it his friends. Even Braun Strowman revealed an incident where he witnessed Bray Wyatt getting bit by a snake, and all he did was laugh.

"As I looked towards the water, a water moccasin started to slide out of the water, slithering directly towards Bray's lantern. As I noticed this, I jumped up and quick wanted to stomp it to death but Bray stopped me. He said, 'No, no, no, no that's my friend.' I was confused. As I watched Bray Wyatt walk towards this snake, he knelt down and got face to face with it. As the snake coiled up, it lashed out and it bit Bray right in the face, and all he did was laugh. He laughed as that snake repeatedly bit him over and over and over. At that moment, I knew Bray Wyatt was the Devil himself." (h/t Greg Bush)

What if Bray Wyatt uses the swamp and everything in it at Extreme Rules to trap Braun Strowman in it? While we have seen him do all sorts of things to get to his opponent's minds, I still believe there's still a lot more insanity inside the head of the evil genius whom we know as Bray Wyatt.

At Extreme Rules, what if Braun Strowman enters the Swamp, but never really leaves it? WWE fans are sure to tune in to SmackDown next week to find out what did Wyatt do to his former follower?

#1 Sister Abigail appears at Extreme Rules, convinces Braun Strowman to join Bray Wyatt

In his cryptic promos leading up to WWE Extreme Rules and even throughout his career, Bray Wyatt has revealed many tales of his time with Sister Abigail at the Swamp.

For those of you who don't know, Sister Abigail is believed to be the source of Bray Wyatt's powers. While her true identity has never been revealed officially, there have been speculations of her being dead long ago with her graves being shown during several Bray Wyatt storylines.

There are theories of Sister Abigail just being a force of evil power, but it all changed when Bray Wyatt appeared as Sister Abigail during his feud with Finn Balor. So is Sister Abigail another alter ego of Wyatt? Well, we might get some answers at Extreme Rules this Sunday!

Now, Braun Strowman looks to have gotten past the days of being a member of the Wyatt Family. He claims that he no longer fears Bray Wyatt, the reason why he was able to defeat him at Money in the Bank.

But what happens if the Monster Among Men confronts Sister Abigail inside the Swamp? With there being a horror theme to the match at Extreme Rules, it's a great opportunity for WWE to finally reveal Sister Abigail, in some form.

She could finally be the one to convince Braun Strowman to join Bray Wyatt once again! Even if for a short term, the reunion of Wyatt Family, with Sister Abigail being at the top controlling it all, the storyline could do wonders! And if there is anyone who can make this work, it is Bray Wyatt.
