Apollo Crews was reportedly injured after Bobby Lashley hit him with the Full Nelson a few weeks ago and wasn't able to show up for Extreme Rules. MVP declared himself the new US champion via 'forfeit' and walked out with the title belt. According to the commentators, the title change was debatable.

Rey Mysterio vs. Seth Rollins - Eye for an Eye match

Extreme Rules continued as the announcer made it clear that an opponent's eye must be extracted to win the match. Rollins headed to the ring with some pliers - Yikes.

Mysterio's music hit but he was waiting behind Rollins as he turned around and hit a dropkick. Rollins took control right away but Mysterio hit a hurricanrana on Rollins and took the pliers before bringing out a steel bar from under the ring.

Rollins got a kendo stick and hit Rey with it before dodging the 619. Rollins hit a falcon arrow on the apron and tried to gouge Rey's good eye. Rollins tried to use the steel steps like before and then a steel chair but was overpowered by Mysterio at Extreme Rules.
