The high-flying star known as Mr. Monday Night was one of the best athletes to ever put a foot in a WWE ring. However, beyond the Attitude Era, he was never really given the right kind of push that he deserved.
This was partly due to his injuries and the fact that he was a “marijuana” smoker. He was even arrested for the same and that meant the company had to take care with regards to the stories he would be doing.
Originally an ECW guy, the former hardcore champion was one of the best entertainers in the company and had many dream storylines. However, after his 2016 concussion that left him visually impaired and other injuries, the star decided to retire.
Due to these various reasons, the company and the superstar may not have the best of relations anymore and it will be quite tough for WWE to ignore some of the things that have happened. This could be the reason why he won’t be joining this list of elite superstars anytime soon.
