The latest WWE live event took place in Providence, Rhode Island, and it featured the performers from the red brand. Despite being drafted to SmackDown LIVE, Charlotte Flair, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens and Jinder Mahal were a part of the event. The event also showcased a physical confrontation between Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman.
The Hardys returned to live event action after 7 years and tore the house down while surprisingly being in their broken avatar. The results of the live show have been provided below:
#1 The Hardy Boyz (Matt and Jeff Hardy)(c) vs Enzo Amore & Big Cass vs Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows vs Sheamus & Cesaro [Fatal 4-way match for the Raw Tag team Championship]
The crowd erupted with cheers as Matt and Jeff Hardy made their entrance. The Hardys were frequently doing the “DELETE” and “Obsolete” gestures in the show. The match came to an end when Karl Anderson fell victim to the Twist of Fate-Swanton Bomb combo.
Result: The Hardy Boyz retained the Raw Tag team Championship over Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows, Sheamus & Cesaro and Enzo Amore & Big Cass
#2 Curtis Axel vs Jinder Mahal
The fans in attendance noted that the match was good. Mahal actually dominated Axel and ultimately picked up the pinfall.
Result: Jinder Mahal defeated Curtis Axel
#3 Neville(c) vs Austin Aries [WWE Cruiserweight Championship match]
Neville and Aries delivered a great back-and-forth match. Aries received a lot of pops throughout the contest. In the closing moments of this match, Neville forced Aries to submit to the Rings of Saturn.
Result: Neville defeated Austin Aries to retain the WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Braun Strowman made his way out to the ring and cut a promo. He boasted that his match against Roman Reigns wouldn’t be taking place as Reigns wasn’t cleared to compete after their altercation at Raw. Reigns then came out to a mixed reaction. The two then started to brawl, with Strowman dominating Reigns until he was hit by a Superman punch. The segment ended with Reigns standing tall after spearing Braun Strowman through a table. The crowd was red-hot throughout this segment.
#4 Bayley(c) vs Charlotte Flair vs Nia Jax vs Sasha Banks [Fatal 4-way match for the Raw Women’s Championship]
Bayley and Sasha Banks received loud cheers from the fans in attendance. Bayley pinned Charlotte following the Bayley-to-Belly suplex, thereby retaining her Championship.
Result: Bayley retained the Raw Women’s Championship over Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks and Nia Jax
#5 Titus O’Neil vs Big Show
Big Show made his way out amidst loud pops. He chokeslammed O’Neil and pinned him to pick up the win.
Result: Big Show defeated Titus O’Neil
#6 Seth Rollins and Sami Zayn vs Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe
Zayn and Rollins were welcomed with loads of cheers while there were loud boos for Owens and Joe. This was an amazing match, filled with back-and-forth action. In the end, Rollins hit Owens with his newly-adopted flying knee manoeuvre and pinned him to pick up the victory for his team.
Result: Seth Rollins and Sami Zayn defeated Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe
