Changes that WWE needs to make in the corporation storyline

The corporation storyline is the best thing in WWE right now. Daniel Bryan looks just the right guy to stand up against the management and Triple H is doing a great job playing the tyrant heel.

Unlike the past two weeks, RAW had a different start with Edge and it looked somewhat refreshing to see the Rated R superstar, which made the entire show interesting. The past two weeks saw RAW & SmackDown start with Triple H and Orton, and ended with the Shield beating up Bryan, which made the storyline guilty of being repetitive.

So what can WWE do to make the show interesting from here on? Everyone accepts the fact that this storyline has the potential to last until WrestleMania, but WWE needs to make quick changes to keep the fans guessing. If the WWE is serious about making this storyline remain interesting for the next few months, it needs to make certain changes that can help build the storyline and also put some deserving wrestlers into the spotlight. Let us look at a few angles that can help make the corporation storyline interesting.

1. Big Show knocks out the Shield

Big Show

I can’t believe it hasn’t happened already. After news that Big Show went all out against the Shield in a live show, there was a lot of expectations that the same will happen this week. I guess live shows don’t have an impact on the TV shows. Anyway, it is high time Big Show moved away from just feeling reluctant and either beat the corporation or else joins them.

The problem with WWE constantly forcing Big Show to hold back is that it is taking the importance away from the two main characters of the storyline. Daniel Bryan and Orton need to focus on the WWE Championship and Big Show’s inclusion is taking away some spotlight from the two. Though I’m completely happy with Big Show having a big role in this storyline, it happening at the expense of the WWE title’s relevance is not acceptable.

Big Show knocking out the Shield can help create a feud between Roman Reigns and Big Show alongside the main corporation battle. This way, both the WWE title and Big Show’s credibility will remain unaffected. Show can then partner up with Mark Henry to restart their battle against the Hounds of Justice.

2. Cody Rhodes joins Daniel Bryan

Cody Rhodes

When Cody Rhodes got fired on RAW last week, any feud he had with Sandow ended then and there. Cody is strongly involved in the corporation storyline now after his brother was humiliated and bullied by the bosses. This can provoke Cody getting desperate to get back and take it to the management.

Plus, Cody’s return can be a huge moment provided WWE manages it well. Proper care has to be taken to ensure news about Rhodes returning doesn’t surface online. If WWE manages to keep this a secret, we can see a surprise return from Cody, who will run in and help Bryan clean house.

3. Stop punishing Dolph Ziggler

Dolph Ziggler

Yes, Dolph was a bit too frank in a recent interview when he expressed his frustration over Orton being pushed by WWE. It seems Ziggler’s punishment is being displayed publicly as WWE wants to make an example of him. It is sad how Ziggler has come down to becoming a jobber from being a World Heavyweight title contender.

But hasn’t he been punished enough? Isn’t a drop from the World title picture to the US title enough punishment for a hardworking wrestler like Ziggler? Though the punishment angle is just an assumption, it is the best justification for his recent losses. However, all this can change for good provided Ziggler manages to get the title off Ambrose at Night of Champions.

In what would be a surprising move, WWE can hand Ziggler the title and put him in the corporation storyline, where Daniel Bryan will have a strong support in the form of the US Champion Ziggler.
