WWE Monday Night Raw Preview: June 6, 2016

It’s on

The previous edition of Monday Night Raw featured in the headlines for some right reasons and some wrong ones. But the major talking point of the show was clearly the return of John Cena and what followed. Most of the feuds heading up to the Money in the Bank pay-per-view cleared up thanks to the previous episode and WWE will be having the task of building up these storylines this week around.

Along with this, making the ongoing feuds official for the pay-per-view would be another major thing that WWE should address this week on Raw. Here are the possible developments that we could expect from this week’s Monday Night Raw.

Making the mid card matches official

Titus to get his shot?

We are one week closer to Money in the Bank thanks to this week’s Raw and WWE is yet to have a full card for the pay-per-view. They have announced three major matches but the mid card bouts are yet to be officially added to the card. Natalya and Becky Lynch are currently feuding with Charlotte and Dana Brooke and a tag team match could easily be added.

Elsewhere, Titus O’Neil drew his battle lines with Rusev and these two could lock horns for the United States Championship at Money in the Bank. Fandango and Tyler Breeze could also get a spot on the card as they impressed the backstage officials.

Wyatts to return?

Wyatt to return?

According to the rumor mill, the Wyatt Family is expected to make their return to the WWE roster this week on Raw. Bray Wyatt has been posting a lot of cryptic messages on his twitter and he could be returning as a heel from the looks of it. We still have no idea on what WWE has planned for Bray but we do know that a Lesnar vs. Bray showdown is being planned for SummerSlam.

Also, Luke Harper will not feature in the return if the Wyatt Family is indeed making their return. Harper is still recovering from his injury and is expected to be out for some more time.

Question regarding Money in the Bank

Will anyone fill the last spot?

There is a lot of uncertainty making rounds about the Money in the Bank ladder match. Earlier, WWE advertised that the match will have seven superstars competing for the briefcase. WWE then filled six spots with Chris Jericho, Dean Ambrose, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, Cesaro and Alberto Del Rio and left one spot open.

A lot of names were thrown around, but from the looks of it, WWE might go forward with only six superstars. The same is yet to be confirmed and if this is not the case, then WWE will have to find a superstar to fill that last spot.

Picking up the momentum

Rollins needs a stronger booking

The return of Seth Rollins broke the internet in a perfect manner. Rollins came down and took out Reigns and got a lot of hype in the process. Rollins showed up on the Raw that followed and delivered a class promo. However, last week, the momentum fell big time. It was weak booking from the side of WWE and the Reigns promo did not help either.

The Reigns vs. Rollins feud is something that WWE should give a lot of importance to due to the immense amount of potential that it has.Seth Rollins deserves a better booking after how hard he worked to push forward his return.

The dream feud

The battle is on

The biggest talking point that came out of last week’s Raw was the return of John Cena and the following heel turn from AJ Styles. Styles showed some huge amount of intensity throughout the segment and all the fans are talking about it. WWE then went on to add Cena vs. Styles for Money in the Bank and termed it as a ‘dream match’.

The match is expected to be a show stealer at the pay-per-view and at the same time, the buildup to the match would be equally entertaining. Cena will be back with his reaction on Monday Night Raw and it will be interesting to see how WWE books this feud.
