WWE has officially announced two more matches for the upcoming Clash of Champions PPV. The Intercontinental title and the SmackDown Live Tag Team Titles are set to be defended at the September 15 show.

Buildup to Clash of Champions

WWE Clash of Champions is shaping up to be a solid card, as it approaches near. The buildup to the show kicked off as soon as The Biggest Party of the Summer was over. The fallout from SummerSlam 2019 saw Brock Lesnar getting out of the title picture, and being replaced by Braun Strowman, who will be facing Rollins at the PPV.

On the other hand, Sasha Banks finally came back to WWE, months after disappearing from TV following her WrestleMania 35 loss to The IIconics. It's expected that Banks will take on Becky Lynch with the Raw Women's Title on the line, but the match hasn't been officially announced yet. Banks' big return saw her launching a vicious attack on both Natalya and Becky Lynch. Banks took out Natalya this week on Raw, in her first TV victory since before WrestleMania.

New matches officially announced

As per the recent announcements from WWE, The Miz will go toe to toe with Shinsuke Nakamura with the Intercontinental Title on the line. Over the past couple of weeks, The Miz has been involved in a feud with Nakamura and Sami Zayn, with the villains double-teaming on the A-Lister on the recent episode of SmackDown Live.

Additionally, SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions Big E & Xavier Woods will defend their titles against The Revival. The Revival, alongside Randy Orton, have been feuding with The New Day for a while now. Orton will face Kofi Kingston for the WWE Title, in a rematch from SummerSlam 2019.
