In case you didn’t know…

Baron Corbin recently lost his WWE United States Championship to Dolph Ziggler at the Clash Of Champions PPV.

Corbin is often the target of internet trolls who insult him over the appearance of his abdominal muscles and his hairline.

The heart of the matter

One ought to note that despite a ton of negativity being directed toward him from a certain section of the professional wrestling community, Baron Corbin time and again fires back at his detractors on Twitter—something over which he’s previously faced problems with WWE management in the past.

Nevertheless, when Corbin sent out an innocuous Tweet asking the fans to help him pick out music he could work out to at the gym, an internet troll advised the former to give a hear to the wrestling podcasts criticizing his ‘lack of wrestling ability’, ‘weird stomach’ and receding hairline.

Not one to take things lying down, Corbin hit back; stating that despite all of his perceived shortcomings, he’s still managed to buy a million dollar house. Corbin continued, asking the troll as to what’s the latter’s excuse for being a nobody hiding in the crowd. The aforementioned troll continued sending out disparaging posts about Corbin, following which several fans came out in the WWE Superstar’s defence.

What’s next?

Baron Corbin will look to regain his WWE United States Championship, with Dolph Ziggler’s WWE future uncertain…for now. The title picture unfolds on the December 26th edition of SmackDown Live.

Author’s take

Picture this—what if one’s work is available to view and criticize through a social platform (TV, internet, print, etc), and the person in question is continually trolled over his/her perceived lack of skills and work quality.

It’s safe to say that said person will eventually defend his/her work against the critics. The WWE Superstars put their bodies—their lives—on the line, every time they step into that ring. Here’s hoping people have the common decency to respect that and refrain from getting personal with their remarks about a Superstar whose work they may not like.
