What's the story?

On this past week's historic RAW 25 show, which was to commemorate 25 years of WWE RAW, 9-time Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho made an appearance at the show.

He had a short segment with Elias backstage, and Jericho said that he was pleased with his short appearance in the show.

In case you didn't know...

Jericho, who joined the WWE in 1999, is regarded as one of the modern greats in the WWE and has had several stints in the WWE.

Y2J's last feud in the WWE was with Kevin Owens in 2017 and wasn't seen on WWE television after that until the RAW 25 show.

During his stint away from the WWE, Jericho toured with his band Fozzy, and was in a dream match against Kenny Omega earlier this month, at Wrestle Kingdom.

The heart of the matter

On RAW 25, Jericho met Elias backstage, and the guitar-wielding WWE Superstar declined Jericho's request to play his guitar, but Jericho had brought his own guitar and played a hilarious song about Elias, much to the dismay of the WWE RAW Superstar!

As you can hear from the video below, the crowd at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn popped when Jericho appeared, and some fans were not happy that he had such a small part to play in the show.

But Jericho seems to be happy with his brief appearance on the show and said that that's exactly what he wanted to do - nothing more, nothing less.

Jericho had another small segment, for WWE.com, where he put Mike Rome and Tom Phillips on 'The List', as well as Cathy Kelley. Hilarious!

What's next?

Jericho, it appears, will most likely be in a feud with Tetsuya Naito on NJPW, after he attacked the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion at New Year Dash.

Author's take

I am a huge fan of Chris Jericho and I hope that he returns to WWE and engages in a feud with one of the new NXT stars when they're moved to the main roster.
