What's the story?
Daniel Bryan can't wrestle in WWE anymore but that won't squash his passion about returning to the ring. He recently opened up in a Q&A that he might be growing his hair out for a future Mask vs Hair match.
In case you didn't know...
There isn't probably a bigger fan of professional wrestling than Daniel Bryan. Some of his favourite wrestlers might be your favourites too, but there's a good chance you might not have heard of everyone Daniel Bryan admires. He loves the indie wrestling scene and searches the globe to find new people to follow.
It also appears he really wants to get back to the ring so he can lock up with his favourite wrestlers in the indie scene.
The heart of the matter
Daniel Bryan's contract with WWE might be wrapping up very soon and he seems determined to make a return to the ring eventually once he is free to do so. The fact is in less than one year, Bryan might be free to take offers to wrestle all over the world once again.
ROH has an open invitation for him to return but Daniel Bryan also really enjoys Mexican wrestling as well. He recently opened up on E&C's Pod Of Awesomeness about how one match recently got him rather steamed.
"You have to understand Blue Panther is like my favorite luchador, right? [Sam Adonis] main evented Arena Mexico in a hair vs hair match against Blue Panther and he took Blue Panther's hair! Like that's what I wanted to -- I wanted to take Blue Panther's hair!"
It sounds like Daniel Bryan really wants to wrestle in a match where the stakes are much higher than winning and losing.
Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella recently took part in an Instagram Q&A where Brie encouraged The Bearded GOAT to reveal why he was growing his hair out. If you'd like to see the entire Q&A you can check it out here.
"Tell everyone why your hair is in a weird stage," Brie Bella said to her husband.
"Well, I'm growing my hair out," Daniel Bryan replied.
"Is there a reason why you're growing your hair out?" Brie asked.
"Listen, we don't need to talk about why I'm growing my hair out," Daniel Bryan said. "It may or may not be because I want to do Apuestas [Mask vs. Hair] matches in Arena Mexico. It may or may not be that."
"That's what he wants and that's what he keeps telling me."
"Imagine a hair vs. mask match vs. Atlantis or hair vs. hair vs. Rush" Daniel Bryan replied.
What's next?
Daniel Bryan certainly sounds determined in being involved in in-ring wrestling action very soon. If he does do a Mair vs Mask match in Arena Mexico it will be an epic display for sure.
If WWE doesn't find a way to either keep him very happy or let him wrestle it looks like Daniel Bryan is going to find a way to get back in the ring whether WWE's doctors like it or not.

When the subject of Daniel Bryan wrestling again ever come up I just hope he's able to stay safe. Although it's hard to ignore that it would be amazing to see him back in the ring, his overall safety is really the most important thing.
