WWE News: Elias talks about Braun Strowman playing a bass, concert with The Rock and more

Elias speaks on wanting his character to evolve
"Who wants to Walk With Elias?"

What's the story?

Elias recently spoke to the New York Post about a variety of topics including his rise to stardom in the WWE. He also commented on the recent segment on Raw where Braun Strowman was playing a giant bass, a possible concert with The Rock, and who he would like to face at WrestleMania.

In case you didn’t know…

Ever since arriving on the main roster, the former 'Drifter' has been able to connect well with the fans. His routine every week is that of him sitting with a guitar in the ring, trying to make the audience cheer him, only to turn on them later, garnering heat as a heel.

His catchphrase, "WWE stands for Walk With Elias" has been garnering louder pops from the audience with each passing week.

The heart of the matter

In his interview, Elias spoke about his time in NXT and later the main roster, and how he has been able to connect with the audience through his music.

About the segment where Strowman recently interrupted his concert playing a giant bass, this is what Elias had to say:

“I mean, you are seeing this giant guy out there with a giant cello, guitar, whatever you want to call it and you see him kind of doing what I do, but the giant version of it. Of course it’s so many thoughts at once and I’m just taken aback. Of course, I believe it made for some great TV.”

Former WWE Superstar turned Hollywood actor, The Rock, who is famous for his 'Rock Concerts', came up during the interview. Elias, in typical heelish arrogance, had this to say:

“I think without a doubt I’d outshine The Rock because he can’t do quite what I do, but he is good at the guitar and he’s got some chops to him, so I don’t think you need to think about it too much. I think something like that could happen in the future. I’m going to put that on The Rock. I’ll leave that up to him.”

When asked who he would like to face at WrestleMania, Elias said he would love to face John Cena or Chris Jericho. As an afterthought, he added that he might have a match with Braun Strowman, especially after he attacked him with the giant bass on Raw two weeks ago.

What's next?

Elias is set to take on six other men inside the Elimination Chamber, which is set to take place this Sunday at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He will be the last person to enter the Chamber, after winning a triple threat match on Raw for the chance to enter the Chamber last.
