WWE News: Hall of Famer not happy with John Cena's promo on the Undertaker

What's the story?

On a recent episode of Edge and Christian's podcast, WWE Superstar Edge expressed what he felt about John Cena's promo two weeks on RAW when he challenged The Undertaker yet again and the Rater R Superstar did not seem very happy.

In case you didn't know...

Edge is a former 12-time World Champion and has been one of the greatest foes in John Cena's career. It can be argued that both these men played a huge role in each other's careers by helping one another reach the pinnacle of their abilities.

Edge had to retire in 2011 due to his neck injury and has since started a carer in acting.

The heart of the matter

Edge commented on Cena's promo on RAW where the latter had called out the Undertaker for a match at WrestleMania. The Ultimate Opportunist commented that he felt like Cena's promo was pretty hokey. He went on to say that although it was cool at some points, the delivery felt hokey.

"I think that's a huge, massive match and I'm glad the crowd reacted the way they did and I didn't even mind the going into the crowd thing, like, the way they're setting this up like if he doesn't have this match, or he doesn't have this match, or he doesn't have this match, he'll go and pay to sit in the audience.

I guess it was just when it got to talking about The Undertaker stuff, it just didn't feel quite as… I don't know. I don't even know how to put my finger on it. I guess it's just sometimes it's kind of hokey delivery can kind of work, but in that instance, it just didn't work for me.

What's next?

The Undertaker has not officially accepted John Cena's challenge but it looks like the match is all set to take place at Wrestlemania 34.

I personally thought John Cena cut an excellent promo two weeks back on RAW as he swerved the audience completely when he challenged The Undertaker.
