WWE News: IIconics address rumors of Sasha Banks and Bayley's WrestleMania 35 tantrum
What's the story?
Billie Kay and Peyton Royce recently sat down with Express Sport and addressed the rumors of Sasha Banks and Bayley causing a backstage tantrum after losing the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 35.
The duo stated that the two teams were in tears after the match and they didn't see Sasha and Bayley causing any trouble backstage.
In case you didn't know...
Earlier this year, The Boss 'N' Hug Connection became the first-ever WWE Women's Tag Team Champions after defeating 5 other teams inside the Elimination Chamber.
At WrestleMania 35, Sasha Banks and Bayley defended their titles against The IIconics, Nia Jax & Tamina Snuka, and Natalya & Beth Phoenix, in a Fatal 4-Way match for the tag titles. To the utter shock of the WWE Universe, The IIconics stole a pin on an unconscious Bayley at the last moment and won the titles.
The heart of the matter
Ever since The Boss 'N' Hug Connection lost their Women's Tag Team Titles at The Show of Shows, Sasha Banks is nowhere to be seen. It was reported that she wasn't happy with what had transpired at WrestleMania, and rumors suggested that the duo caused a backstage tantrum after losing the match. Sasha also posted a cryptic message on her Instagram, possibly targeting WWE.
While speaking about the rumors, Billy Kay and Peyton Royce said that all of them were in tears after the match was done and dusted with. They even went on to take pictures together and posted them on Instagram.
Immediately after the match we were all in tears, all crying. Just filled with emotion, we got pictures together which we then posted on our Instagram. I mean, I know there’s all these rumours going around and we didn’t see anything. The rumours to us is [that] we didn’t see anything that we’re hearing.
The IIconics are all set to defend their titles against the newly formed team of Asuka and Kairi Sane at Money In The Bank.
