John Cena surprised the folks backstage with an appearance on today’s RAW. As we all know, the leader of the Cenation loves to surprise and he did just that. Several sources have revealed that the 15-time WWE World Champion was backstage at the Barclays Center but he didn’t appear on RAW. Word is that Cena is in New York for this week’s “The Today Show” on NBC.
Cena had announced during the WrestleMania 33 press conference that he won’t wrestle at this year’s WrestleMania as he his healing from an injury he suffered back in December 2015. This will be the first WrestleMania in 10 years in which the ‘face of the WWE’ will not be wrestling.
Also, Brie Bella’s appearance on RAW may be her last as she is rumored to retire after the 5-on-5 Divas Tag team match at WrestleMania. She has said that she wants to spend more time with her husband, former WWE Champion, Daniel Bryan who had to retire from his pro wrestling career due to severe concussions. Meanwhile, Nikki Bella is on her road to recovery from her neck injury and she is expected to be back in WWE ring within a few months.
