John Cena is widely regarded as one of the best professional wrestlers of all time. The Leader of the Cenation was the WWE’s biggest star during the Ruthless Aggression era alongside THIS powerhouse.

John Cena has been quite busy with his Hollywood obligations as of late and has competed sporadically for the WWE since Wrestlemania 33.

The heart of the matter

Nevertheless, Cena was rumoured to be the special guest referee for the match between the WWE Champion and Universal Champ, at Survivor Series. However, per Shane McMahon, Cena is now officially a part of the SmackDown Live team.

Cena joins the blue brand’s team for the traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series match, and hyped his upcoming appearance, stating that he’s ready to answer the call wherever and whenever need be.

What’s next?

John Cena, Shinsuke Nakamura, Randy Orton, Bobby Roode & Shane McMahon (Team Captain) compete against Samoa Joe, Finn Balor, Braun Strowman, Jason Jordan & Kurt Angle (C) in a traditional 5-on-5 ‘Survivor Series’ match at the PPV of the same name at the Target Center in Houston, Texas on November 19th.

Author’s take

The WWE seems to be pulling out all the stops ahead of its ‘Big 4’ pay-per-view later this month.

Honestly speaking, the card was already stacked without the presence of John Cena, and now that the Champ has been added to the mix, things get even more intriguing.

The WWE Universe seems to be hyped about Survivor Series 2017, and rightfully so. The Champ is here and his time is now!
