Paige and Alberto Del Rio have been an item for a while now. However, that has not come without controversy. It has clearly landed them both in trouble with WWE who have seemingly wanted them to be separated.
Also, things have gone haywire ever since Alberto Del Rio left the WWE. Being a star on Total Divas, many wondered whether Paige’s relationship with Del Rio would be featured on Total Divas, and we now know the answer.
The E! website Total Divas section mentioned that we will get to see their relationship chronicled on the reality show.
It will be interesting to see how this will be approached. Technically, E! does not have to worry about anything as they are a separate entity from WWE. WWE promotes Total Divas (and now Total Bellas too) due to the fact that they bring in a large chunk of different viewers who don’t watch pro wrestling, primarily a young female demographic.
The fact is, one of the primary reasons the Bella twins got their own spin-off show was because they are a tremendous hit amongst that demographic.
E! would definitely want to chronicle the Paige-Del Rio relationship as it has had many people on the internet buzzing, and the controversial relationship would definitely help to draw quite a few viewers, including the demographic of pro wrestling fans who don’t watch reality television.
It should be noted that reality shows are heavily scripted, so we could potentially see a dramatised version of the relationship. However, given the incidents over the past months with Paige’s suspension, her proposal, and more, it already seems to be an extremely juicy, dramatic story.
Her own father Ricky Knight posted as well that he did not approve of the fact that he Paige was engaged to Del Rio.

Add to the fact that Alberto Del Rio is still reportedly married, all of this seems like a perfect Total Divas storyline, but the fact of the matter is it’s not, which makes it all the more interesting. It looks like the E! reality show just managed to land on a gold mine themselves due to this.
