Paige took to Twitter to say that she is back in training after her neck surgery:
Paige underwent a neck surgery last month, reportedly, against WWE’s wishes. WWE doctors did not clear her for surgery, meaning that they would not pay for it, as they normally would. Paige said that she had two surgery options.
The speculation was that the first option would be a short-term one, meaning that she would return very soon but her neck problems would not be fully solved. The second option was a long-term one, that would keep her out for 6-9 months but will help solve the neck issues completely.
It was reported that Paige took the second option, which means that she will likely be back, sometime during the middle of next year. She last appeared on WWE television at the end of June, where she was defeated by Charlotte in a Women’s Championship match.
The match itself was almost an advertisement for Sasha Banks’ entry into the championship picture:
It is well known that Paige has been travelling with fianceé Alberto Del Rio in his various ventures, be it as President of Combate Americas or his independent wrestling gigs. She was seen last month with Del Rio in New York shortly after her second suspension from WWE.
