WWE News: Paige pranks Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville, teammates react

What’s the story?

The WWE has posted a video on its official YouTube channel, featuring Paige who pulls a prank on her Absolution teammates.

Apparently, fellow WWE personalities Nia Jax and Mike Rome were also in on the prank.

In case you didn’t know…

Despite being only 25 years of age, Paige is regarded as one of the veterans of the professional wrestling industry—well-versed with the ins and outs of the business.

Being the veteran that she is, Paige is known for her lighthearted pranks backstage, as further evidenced by her time on Total Divas.

The heart of the matter

Paige started off by explaining the April fool’s day prank to the fans; asserting that she’s been hiding in a secret room away from her Absolution stable-mates (Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville)—with Rose and Deville being told that Paige has missed her flight to the event.

With Rose and Deville under the impression that Paige has gotten into trouble, the duo was apparently freaking out in the locker room, before their scheduled performance at the April 1st RAW live event in Macon, Georgia.

Furthermore, with Nia Jax and Mike Rome in on the prank, it was only after Rose and Deville made their way to the entrance ramp in front of the fans, that Paige sprung a surprise on them by appearing from behind.

Rose and Deville can be seen jesting with Paige after the initial surprise—with Paige stating after the matchup that her Absolution teammates do “need their mom (Paige) around”.

What’s next?

Paige is rumored to have stepped away from in-ring competition owing to a career-ending injury she suffered at a house show in late-2017.

Nevertheless, Paige continues to serve as the manager and leader of Absolution—with the faction set to be prominently featured on RAW in the weeks to come.
