What's the story?
In a podcast interview with Lillian Garcia, Paige touched upon a variety of subjects including her break-up with former beau Alberto El Patron aka Alberto Del Rio, after being together for a long time.
In case you didn't know...
Paige is a former NXT Women's Champion as well as a former Women's Champion with the WWE.
After spending two years in the developmental territory - NXT - she made her debut on the main roster in 2014, capturing the Women's Championship (Then known as Diva's Championship), and becoming the youngest Women's Champion.
Paige had been out of action since mid-2016 due to injury and was also suspended due to the violation of WWE Wellness policy.
Paige started dating Alberto Del Rio-- whose real name is José Rodríguez, in may 2016 and the couple even got engaged in October 2016.
Even though it looked like the couple was going strong, rumours of their break-up started emanating just months before Paige's WWE return, and it was confirmed by a snapchat video by Paige.
The heart of the matter
Paige returned to WWE a few weeks back on the 20th November episode of RAW as part of the stable - Absolution.
Paige opened about her split with Alberto and whether they had any animosity. She said that she did not hate him and that they only broke-up because she wanted to fix her life and felt it was the best way to go about the situation.
She also touched upon what her father told her. He told her that if she continues on the path she is on, she might end up like Amy Winehouse and that he did not want to lose her.
What's next?
With Paige back on RAW, it looks like the WWE are hinting at a feud between Paige and Absolution against the entire female roster on RAW.
It wouldn't be too far-fetched to think that Paige will become the next RAW Women's Champion soon.
