What’s the story?

Following this past weekend’s WWE Hall of Fame event in New Orleans, on-screen WWE manager Paul Heyman took it to the social media in order to show his gratitude towards the 2018 WWE Hall headliner, Bill Goldberg.

In case you didn’t know…

Bill Goldberg made his return to the WWE back in 2016, after an absence from the company for well almost 12 years. Upon his official in-ring return to WWE at the 2016 Survivor Series pay-per-view, Goldberg shocked the entire world when he pulled-off a one minute and 26 seconds victory over Paul Heyman’s WWE client Brock Lesnar.

At WrestleMania 33, Goldberg wrestled his last match in the WWE when he lost the WWE Universal Title to “The Beast” Brock Lesnar in a rematch from Survivor Series.

The heart of the matter

After inducting Bill Goldberg into the 2018 WWE Hall of Fame, Paul Heyman took it to his official Twitter handle and displayed his appreciation towards “The Iconic” as Heyman wrote in a recent tweet that Goldberg is a true man’s man, a father beyond compare, and the last man who will ever score a victory over his client “The Beast” Brock Lesnar.

In addition, Heyman also thanked Goldberg for granting him the honorable opportunity to induct the WCW Legend and former WWE Universal Champion into the prestigious WWE Hall of Fame class.

What’s next?

As noted during his WWE Hall of Fame speech, Bill Goldberg has certainly not ruled out a return to the WWE just yet and a potential comeback in the near future could still be on the cards. However, as of right now, we certainly don’t expect the WWE to bring back Goldberg anytime soon in 2018.

Author’s take

Paul Heyman’s once again proves why this man is indeed one of the best most humble personalities in wrestling today and it was indeed a really nice gesture from Heyman.
