WWE News: Randy Orton jokes about a hilarious Cena t-shirt

What's the story?

The internet went wild when they saw a bootleg t-shirt of John Cena's image with the caption 'Randy Orton'. A fan linked Orton to the shirt and asked the Viper for his reaction.

Orton was seemingly amused by the content of the t-shirt in question and joked that had it been genuine, he might have been able to sell some of them. Here is what The Viper tweeted out on social media:

In case you didn't know...

While people may not exactly equate Randy Orton with a sense of humour, Orton is known for sending out some humorous tweets once in a while. Not long ago, we posted an article about him taking a shot at Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar, for being a part time performer. Pretty savage on Twitter, Orton is a man with a funny bone.

The heart of the matter

It is amusingly evident that whoever designed the t-shirt in question wasn't really a WWE fan and only wanted to capitalize on the popularity of sports entertainment by selling cheap bootleg merchandise. The person who made this t-shirt committed a critical error which is almost certain to cost them business, but at least they got their 10 seconds of fame. So much so that they got the man in the t-shirt (well, almost) to comment on the controversial design.

Maybe one day they'll be able to tell the difference between Cena and Orton, and realize what a big deal it truly is.

What's next?

Randy Orton takes on Shinsuke Nakamura in the main event of SmackDown Live to determine who becomes Number 1 contender for Jinder Mahal's WWE Championship. That should be quite a match.

Author's take

Randy Orton is a much funnier man than most fans give him credit for. He may be second only to Rusev when it comes to posting entertaining Tweets. However, it's impossible to have a take on this situation, except to admit I was amused.
