WWE News: The Hardy Boyz and Dustin Rhodes have a Twitter exchange about a potential match at Starrcade

Could th
Could this be happening?

What's the story?

WWE will put on a Starrcade live event in Greensboro, North Carolina. Naturally, this sparked a lot of interest but the Rhodes family felt slighted. Brandi Rhodes had plenty to say and Cody merely suggested they book his brother for the show. What happened next resulted in a possible match nobody expected.

In case you didn't know...

Cody Rhodes was one of the most underrated WWE Superstars on the roster while he was a part of the WWE Universe. But since leaving Vince McMahon's company, he might have lost his last name, but he also set the wrestling world on fire in the process.

The heart of the matter

WWE's Starrcade got a lot of people very excited, but the Rhodes family might have taken exception to it. You can read everything Brandi and Cody said here along with an unexpected invitation from Michael PS Hayes for Cody to show up at the event in order to tag with his brother, Goldust.

The Bizarre One couldn't resist commenting, and he upped the stakes by proposing The Rhodes Brothers face off against The Hardy Boyz. Matt Hardy was certainly game for this match and even suggested they bring The Young Bucks along with them.

Unfortunately, Matt Jackson sa they were booked that night. This tweet has since been deleted. But Reby Hardy is more than ready to step in the ring at Starrcade.

What's next?

If Cody and WWE can work something out, he might return to the company. But as ROH World Champion, Cody will not want to give up everything he's accomplished in the independent circuit in order to roll the dice with WWE once again.

Author's take

WWE's Starrcade is going to be an interesting show. If they can arrange Cody Rhode's return, it will just be the icing on the cake.

Hopefully, they'll be able to make something special out of this show because of the importance of the Starrcade name to professional wrestling.
