WWE NEWS: Rollins VS Jericho official at WWE Roadblock PPV

Will Rollins VS Jericho break new ground at Roadblock?

WWE has followed a trend of taking decisions after the third strike. And, so it was with Chris Jericho and his constant interference in the Championship bouts, between Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins.

Cell or no cell, PPV or otherwise, Jericho hoodwinked the referee, into believing that Owens put his foot on the bottom rope, for the third time in a Championship title match, to break the pinfall that would crown Rollins.

Finally, the chickens have come to roost for Jericho, as an impending match-up against Seth Rollins, at Roadblock has been confirmed by the venue, PPG Paints Arena on Twitter.

Chris Jericho, as the veteran, would serve as the perfect whetstone for Rollins. It would make for an interesting build-up to the pay-per-view, once the dust has settled in the wake of Survivor Series. As confirmed by Wrestling News World, Jericho VS Rollins at Roadblock: End of the Line, on December 18, is quite plausible.

Chris Jericho, is possibly the best heel on Raw at the moment, unanimously, with his comic timing, one-liners, even the slapstick moments, being lapped up by lovers and haters alike. And at 46, he is definitely not showing any signs of ageing in the ring.

With a more of a coming-of-age 'sophomore heel' like Rollins to square off against in the ring, this match-up would be any WWE fans dream! Rollins' being pitted against Jericho is in all probability a move to stabilise his turn of face.

Chris Jericho's gimmick as the snooty, arrogant, best friend to Kevin Owens has been working wonders in getting Owens more over with the crowd. It would be very strategic of the WWE to use some of Y2J’s Midas' touch on Rollins.

Rollins is plagued with a well-publicised record of being inadvertently responsible for big names ending up with career threatening injuries, but that aside he has a near flawless in-ring repertoire and has been over with the crowd, longer than New Day's been Tag Team Champions!

WWE's live events are almost as good as Raw or Smackdown because most of them feature unlikely pairings and stipulations. Case in hand, the complementary icing on the cake, Rollins and Jericho hashing it out in a series of "Street Fights", in all the live events in winter.

Chris Jericho's best friend Kevin Owens' has his hands full too, after a possible "Champion VS Champion" match has been added to the cards, against current U.S. Champion, Roman Reigns.
