What's the story?

In a recent post on Twitter, Roman Reigns sent out a tweet, which was a clear message to John Cena, after their match at No Mercy. The Big Dog basically made it clear that the WWE was still his yard. You can find the tweet below.

In case you didn't know...

John Cena recently stated on RAW Talk after No Mercy that his actions after the match with Roman Reigns weren't supposed to suggest that he was retiring but rather that his role with the WWE was different than it used to be.

The heart of the matter

After their match at No Mercy, the Big Dog, Roman Reigns took to Twitter, to send out a message to his opponent John Cena.

Reigns' tweet stated, "...but make no mistake. I'm still the #TopDog in this yard."

Reigns successfully defeated John Cena at the PPV, after facing weeks of Cena's infamous insults regarding his promo work and his wrestling ability.

The Big Dog took down Cena with a Spear, which followed a Superman Punch to the Leader of the Cenation. After the match Reigns and Cena shook hands, showing that Cena finally acknowledged Reigns' position as the Top Dog.

Regarding Reigns' tweet, Cena sent out a reply via his own Twitter page, simply saying, "#ThankYou." You can see the tweet below.

What's next?

There has been a lot of speculation regarding what John Cena will be doing next; apart from preparing for the release of his upcoming animated film, 'Ferdinand', he is also in the running to have a match at Survivor Series.

Roman Reigns, on the other hand, may find himself in the WWE Universal title picture once again.

Author's take

Roman Reigns is a top-notch athlete, despite what the WWE Universe may think. However, even though the Big Dog has proven himself in the ring, he still needs to prove himself on the mic. Hopefully, this experience against Cena has taught him a few things.
