WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff recently spoke about Vince McMahon’s actual opinion about All Elite Wrestling. Pro wrestling fans have pitted the two promotions against each other ever since AEW appeared.
Despite the perceived competition, Vince McMahon reportedly doesn’t care about the ‘rivalry.’ The former WWE executive said McMahon is aware of AEW but does not see them as a threat. Here’s what Eric Bischoff said:
"I don’t think Vince cares, I know wrestling fans like to think that there’s this battle between AEW and WWE. The very fact that I made an appearance on AEW a month before they inducted me into the Hall of Fame suggests to me that they really don’t care. Are they aware? Sure. Is Vince McMahon walking around kicking people in the ass saying ‘God dammit, how did they beat us to the punch?"
Recently, AEW Superstar Chris Jericho appeared on Stone Cold Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Sessions. CM Punk then echoed the emotions mentioned above and stated that Vince McMahon is not afraid of AEW. The former WWE Superstar argued that if McMahon was afraid, he would never have allowed Steve Austin to host Chris Jericho on a WWE Network show.
