Welcome back to another edition of WWE News Roundup. In today's article, we will look at topics about Drew McIntyre and Sheamus, along with checking out other major developments in the world of the Sports Entertainment juggernaut.
Aside from the aforementioned stories, it has also been implied that a former world champion will never wrestle again due to health issues. Let's check it out along with the RAW results:
#4. WWE RAW results
This week's Monday Night RAW witnessed the return of Nikki Bella and Bayley. While the Hall of Famer was taken out by Liv Morgan, The Role Model attacked Becky Lynch, getting back at The Man for injuring her ahead of WrestleMania 41 Night One.
The show also featured a huge title change, as Gunther defeated Jey Uso to reclaim the World Heavyweight Championship. We also saw an interaction between John Cena and CM Punk that set up a match between them for the Undisputed WWE Title at Night of Champions.
Here are the complete results from the show:
- AJ Styles def. Chad Gable
- Roxanne Perez def. Kairi Sane, Liv Morgan & Rhea Ripley in a QOTR Tournament Fatal Four-Way Qualifier
- Sami Zayn def. Dominik Mysterio, Bron Breakker & Penta in a KOTR Tournament Fatal Four-Way Qualifier
- Gunther def. Jey Uso to become the new World Heavyweight Champion
#3. Drew McIntyre details personal relationship with The Rock
While Drew McIntyre may be one of the OG Bloodline's fiercest rivals, The Scottish Warrior shares a close relationship with a real-life Bloodline member, The Rock. In a recent interaction with Gorilla Position, McIntyre reflected on his bond with The Final Boss.
The former World Heavyweight Champion revealed that the Hollywood megastar has always been there for him in and out of WWE.
"He's always been there, ever since I was a kid, in and out of WWE. He always took the time to give me advice and has always looked out for me the entire time," he said.
McIntyre is currently on the sidelines, as he's dealing with an injury. He was last seen in action at Saturday Night's Main Event XXXIX, where he lost to Damian Priest in a Steel Cage Match.
#2. Sheamus reaches a huge milestone
Sheamus is one of WWE's most trusted performers, who has thrived in any role given to him. The Celtic Warrior also achieved a major feat outside the squared circle as his YouTube channel, Celtic Warrior Workouts, reached one million subscribers. He has now received a Golden Play Button from YouTube to commemorate the achievement.
#1. Major WWE Superstar will never wrestle again
Nothing is certain when it comes to pro wrestling, especially when it comes to retirement. We have seen many notable names don their wrestling boots after announcing retirement. However, Disco Inferno has implied that the same won't be the case with Triple H.
Vince Russo recently claimed on X that John Cena's last-ever match would be against Triple H.
However, Disco shut down the claim by noting that The Game has a defibrillator in his chest and thus won't be returning to in-ring action.
