What’s the story?

In a recent edition of his podcast Conversation With The Big Guy, Ryback revealed a possible reason behind WWE cutting Emma.

Additionally, Ryback also addressed the WWE releases of Summer Rae and Darren Young; besides heaping loads of praise on The Miz.

In case you didn’t know…

Although The Big Guy has been competing on the independent professional wrestling circuit since last year, he’s been considerably vocal with his criticism about the WWE product as well as the pro-wrestling industry as a whole.

Ryback shared a close working relationship with Summer Rae and Darren Young during his time with WWE; and addressed their departures from the promotion; giving his perspective on the situaon as an industry insider.

The heart of the matter

Ryback reiterated his respect for The Miz; adding that the latter has risen from a pariah to a bona fide top-tier heel in the WWE; and that the A-Lister has made the most out of every opportunity given to him by WWE.

Furthermore, Ryback explained that he shared a great relationship with Summer Rae and Darren Young; and while Rae will be fine owing to her ventures outside the pro-wrestling business, Ryback expects Young to be involved with WWE in some capacity or the other, especially considering the amount of PR work the latter has done for WWE. As regards Emma, Ryback stated—

"I'm sure she's had good matches on live events as well, but she just wasn't used on TV in a good fashion; not to say, apparently with Emma supposedly with social media---if you do stuff out of the company guidelines and when you Tweet things about not being used the right way, or about your booking or creative, things like that when you don't do yourself any favors, just go talk to them if you are not tweeting."

What’s next?

Ryback presently competes in the indies; and Emma is likely to follow once her WWE ‘Non Compete’ clause runs out in the next few weeks.

Meanwhile, Rae and Young seem to be dilly dallying regarding their pro-wrestling future as of now, and fans can expect their status in the business to become clearer sooner rather than later.

Author’s take

Agree one hundred percent with Ryback!

Emma took a huge risk by lashing out at WWE Creative on social media, and resultantly paid the price. As for Rae and Young, and even Emma for that matter, here’s hoping the former WWE Superstars succeed outside the WWE.
