What’s the story?

Earlier today, it was confirmed by WWE that Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins will be once again be defending his championship belt this week on Monday Night Raw in London, UK.

Rollins, who is now slated to square-off against former two-time IC Champion Kevin Owens later this week, also took to his official Twitter handle in order to react to his upcoming championship bout.

In case you didn’t know…

‘The Architect’ Seth Rollins has been on a roll ever since he became the third and final member of The Shield to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship and become a Grand Slam Champion at WrestleMania 34.

Ever since his major win in New Orleans last month, Rollins has been constantly defending the IC Title against the likes of The Miz, Finn Balor, and even Mojo Rawley—who accepted Rollins’ IC Title Open Challenge last week on Raw.

On the other hand, ‘The Kingslayer’ has also proved himself to be an absolute fighting champion by defending the IC Title in different countries and continents around the world, including in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia where he successfully retained the championship in a fatal four way ladder match also involving The Miz, Samoa Joe, and Finn Balor.

The heart of the matter

As noted, on last week’s edition of Monday Night Raw, Seth Rollins successfully defended the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Mojo Rawley, when the former Hype Bro decided to answer Rollins’ IC Title Open Challenge.

Following Rollins’ win over Mojo, he recently took to social media sites once again in order to claim that he has been highly considering to issue yet another IC Title Open Challenge when the Monday Night Raw roster lands in London this week. Earlier today, former two-time IC Champion Kevin Owens decided to step up to the plate and accept ‘The Kingslayer’s’ challenge, thus setting up a match between the two.

Shortly afterward, Rollins posted the following tweet in order to comment on his forthcoming IC Title defense against Owens in London.
