Shinsuke Nakamura amazed fans yet again in a dark match main event

What’s the story?

Shinsuke Nakamura, Bobby Roode, Dolph Ziggler and Baron Corbin competed in a huge dark match main event after SmackDown Live and 205 Live tapings this week.

Nakamura & Roode teamed up to go toe-to-toe with Ziggler & Corbin; in a matchup that reportedly garnered a huge pop from the fans in attendance.

In case you didn’t know…

This week’s episode of SmackDown Live aired from the Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky on November 28th.

The SmackDown television broadcast was headlined by a No Disqualification Match which saw Kevin Owens defeat Randy Orton; closing out the show.

The heart of the matter

Nevertheless, as is customary for the WWE, the promotion put up a special dark match main event for the fans at the Rupp Arena after the 205 Live tapings.

‘The Artist’ Shinsuke Nakamura joined forces with ‘The Glorious One’ Bobby Roode as the duo took on the team of ‘The Showoff’ Dolph Ziggler and ‘The Lone Wolf’ aka WWE United States Champion Baron Corbin.

In a back-and-forth affair, Nakamura and Roode bested Ziggler and Corbin; walking away the victors in the Tag Team matchup.

What’s next?

The next episode of SmackDown Live goes down at the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, California on December 5th.

Author’s take

Honestly speaking, each and every member of the WWE Universe has got to attend WWE shows in person to experience the sheer electricity and drama that’s characteristic of the promotion’s presentations.

The WWE doesn’t broadcast its dark match main events, as these matchups are usually put up to specifically serve as a bonus of sorts for the fans attending the given event in the flesh.

In reference to the same, hats off to the WWE for matching up Shinsuke Nakamura with Bobby Roode against talents such as Dolph Ziggler and Baron Corbin. The WWE is doing a great job of helping Nakamura and Roode build the confidence to perform in front of such large crowds on a weekly basis before the two Superstars are accorded their big push.
