WWE News: SmackDown duo challenge Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch to a match before Extreme Rules

What's the story?

SmackDown Live duo Andrade and Zelina Vega have challenged Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch to a tag team match before WWE Extreme Rules.

In case you didn't know…

Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch will defend the Universal Championship and Raw Women’s Championship in a ‘Winners Take All’ Extreme Rules match against Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view on July 14.

WWE’s newest power couple prepared for the match by defeating Mike & Maria Kanellis on the July 1 episode of Raw, with “The Man” making Mike tap out to her trademark Dis-Arm-Her submission move.

The following night, Zelina Vega was up to her usual tricks at ringside as she helped Andrade to defeat Apollo Crews in a one-on-one match on SmackDown Live.

The heart of the matter

Speaking in a WWE.com video after SmackDown Live, Zelina Vega mocked Becky Lynch for backing away from a fight from a pregnant woman, Maria Kanellis, on Raw.

Andrade then issued a challenge to both Seth Rollins and Lynch before they face Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans at Extreme Rules.

“Seth Rollins and Becky, we challenge you. You want to have a mixed tag team match with Baron Corbin and Lacey? Amigo… Seth Rollins and Becky versus Zelina Vega and Andrade!”

Strangely, the video cannot be seen on WWE’s social media platforms, so it is not known if the challenge from Andrade and Vega will be uploaded again as we get closer to next week's episodes of Raw and SmackDown Live.

What's next?

Whether Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch vs. Andrade & Zelina Vega takes place or not, the Extreme Rules match between Rollins & Lynch and Baron Corbin & Lacey Evans is definitely going to happen on July 14.
