A series of tweets by Drake Maverick and Matt Hardy has led to speculation that the WWE 24/7 Title might change hands at Maverick's wedding.
Drake Maverick is set to marry tonight, and the ceremony is being attended by several WWE Superstars, notably Matt Hardy, Braun Strowman, and EC3.
In case you didn't know...
Drake Maverick had recently announced that he will be marrying former Mae Young Classic competitor, Renee Michelle. Ever since the WWE 24/7 Title came into being, the 205 Live GM had made it a point to win the belt.
Maverick was seen chasing R-Truth in backstage areas, distributing flyers with R-Truth's face on them, and posting hilarious clips on his social media handles that showed him sending a bunch of warnings to Truth. Maverick finally managed to get the best of Truth this past week, when he disguised himself as Carmella and pinned Truth to win the green belt. As a confused Truth wondered what had just happened, Maverick fled the scene in a referee's car.

The heart of the matter
Maverick recently tweeted a photo featuring himself and Matt Hardy's son, Maxel, with Maverick wearing the belt. The champion stated that Maxel had promised him he wouldn't pin him.
In response, Matt Hardy quoted WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin, saying "DTA, Don’t Ever Trust Nobody!". Maverick posted another tweet where he quoted Matt Hardy, possibly hinting that he is worried about someone pinning him and taking the belt away,
Maxel's Twitter account posted a video of the kid walking around with the 24/7 Title in his hand. These tweets have led to speculation that the title might change hands at Maverick's wedding, and the new champion might be none other than Matt Hardy. Or, if WWE is planning on going crazy with the concept, we just might see King Maxel become the 24/7 Champion!
