WWE News: Triple H's best friend would love to return and face Braun Strowman

Who wants to go up against the Monster Among Men?

What’s the story?

Besides Triple H, all members of The Kliq recently appeared on Sean Waltman’s ‘X-Pac 12360’ podcast. Arguably the most interesting part of the show came when they all discussed which current WWE Superstars they would have liked to get in the ring with.

In case you didn’t know…

Shawn Michaels and Kevin Nash appeared on a recent episode of ‘Table for 3’ on the WWE Network and spoke about the rumoured dream match between HBK and AJ Styles that was teased before this year’s Royal Rumble.

Although the match never happened, it was revealed during the show that it was discussed by some people backstage and even got to the point where Vince McMahon asked Michaels if he was interested.

In the aftermath of this, the other members of The Kliq have now weighed in on the topic and told each other which members of WWE’s current roster they would like to face.

The heart of the matter

Speaking on the most recent edition of ‘X-Pac 12360’, Scott Hall stated that he would have loved to square up with Kevin Owens in his prime while Kevin Nash revealed that he would have loved to work with Finn Balor.

The host of the podcast and also one of Triple H’s best friends, Sean ‘X-Pac’ Waltman, also declared which talents have caught his eye in WWE.

“I’m a big fan of Shinsuke Nakamura maybe back in my prime, I wouldn’t want to get anywhere near a ring he was in now and the guy my mouth would be watering over would be Braun Strowman.”

As for Shawn Michaels, he admitted that there were several performers that he’d love to have worked with.

“Everybody’s heard mine, there’s a list of guys, AJ, Seth, Kevin. To me, it’s all these new faces that is the whole joy of the stuff, I could do new and innovative stuff with each and every one of them.”

What’s next?

It is unlikely that any of The Kliq, besides Triple H, will ever have another match in a WWE ring again, but it is certainly intriguing to hear which current performers they would have chosen to get in the ring with.

Many of them are dream matches for the fans, but unfortunately, they will have to remain as such.

Author’s take

It’s interesting to hear that former WWE talents still watch the current product and think about which performers they could have done something with.

The Kliq have obviously influenced many people on the current roster, but the one that stands out is Finn Balor, who regularly uses The Kliq’s ‘Too Sweet’ gesture during his entrance.

It will unfortunately never happen, but a Kliq or N.W.O. vs. Bullet Club match would have been fascinating considering the similarities between the two stables.
