Trevor Lee is on his way to WWE!

What's the story?

Well, just last month, when Trevor Lee announced he had left Impact Wrestling and would be a free agent, Drave Maverick responded to one of his tweets rather interestingly.

Now the former Impact Wrestling star has confirmed that he has indeed signed with WWE.

In case you didn't know...

For anyone unfamiliar with Trevor Lee, he's a 25-year-old most known for wrestling in PWG and Impact Wrestling. In Impact, he is a three-time Impact X Division Champion and one-time TNA World Tag Team Champion - holding the titles with Brian Myers, also known as WWE's Curt Hawkins.

Lee was trained by Matt and Jeff Hardy and had been wrestling with Impact since 2015 before becoming a free agent. Lee's final match in Impact Wrestling was on December 31st vs Johnny Impact, and he was written off of television immediately after on January 3rd when Killer Kross punched a concrete block through his face.

The heart of the matter

After his match at CWF Mid Atlantic last night, Trevor Lee cut a promo to announce that he was no longer a free agent and had indeed signed with WWE, to chants of "You deserve it."

Lee confirmed, though, that he will wrestle at least one more match for the promotion, confirming that he won't leave until he loses the CWF Mid-Atlantic title, adding that he will defend the championship in a Six-Pack Scramble at CWF Stronger on February 2nd.

Lee had teamed with "Hurricane" Shane Helms and Cain Justice in the main event of the show, defeating Arik Royal, Roy Wilkins & Brad Attitude. The stipulation was that Lee's title would change hands if anyone on Lee's team was pinned.

What's next?

Only time will tell. We'll keep you updated with Lee's signing and when he's expected at the Performance Center as and when we get it.
