What's the story?

We brought you Live results and a 'Best and Worst' countdown of the latest episode of WWE RAW, over the past few hours. But even after the cameras stopped rolling, the action did not stop.

'Woken' Matt Hardy took on 'The Eater of Worlds', Bray Wyatt, in a dark match following RAW. Hardy would emerge victorious, following their high-impact clash, according to Wrestling Inc.

In case you didn't know...

Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt have been on a warpath recently, and Wyatt even awakened a part of Matt Hardy that had lain dormant for a while. This gave birth to Hardy's 'Woken' persona, a spin-off of his 'Broken' gimmick from TNA.

The two men famously wrestled each other at RAW 25, where Bray Wyatt defeated Woken Matt Hardy with relative ease. The two men are set to collide again at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.

The heart of the matter

The WWE Universe in Phoenix, Arizona was thrilled to see Matt Hardy take on his arch nemesis, Bray Wyatt in the dark match after RAW. Hardy, the babyface, won the match to the delight of the crowd gathered in the arena, following the events on RAW.

We wonder if this is an indication of what will go down at Elimination Chamber, or if Hardy is being given a win at this juncture, just so that Wyatt can stand tall at the pay-per-view. It must be noted that the two men had an interesting back-and-forth exchange on RAW as well.

What's next?

Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy will battle once again, this time on pay-per-view, at the Elimination Chamber. Join us this weekend for live updates as they happen. Can the Woken Warriors overcome Sister Abigail's dark magic?

Author's take

The Woken Matt gimmick has really not taken off, as I had believed it would. This is, in part, due to the shoddy writing, and in part because of the fact that the characters who made the 'Broken Universe' interesting like Senor Benjamin and Vanguard 1 are nowhere to be seen.

I have high hopes for the match at Elimination Chamber, though!
