WWE News: When Jason Jordan found out he was losing his Survivor Series spot

He really
He really tries his best

What's the story?

Jason Jordan had secured a spot on Team Raw because his daddy Kurt Angle said so. But it wouldn't last long because, after a brutal beatdown from Bray Wyatt, Triple H took the former NXT and SmackDown Tag Team Champion's spot.

Now PW Insider is providing some insight into how long Jordan knew he was losing his gig at WWE's annual November Classic.

In case you didn't know...

Jason Jordan was an NXT standout but they couldn't quite make things click until he was paired with Chad Gable. Once the two formed American Alpha they quickly became a fan favourite because of the outstanding matches they were able to have with the hungry NXT talent surrounding them.

But when American Alpha was called up to the main roster they were heavily hyped and not given the proper stage to succeed. The two picked up the SmackDown Tag Team Championships but their run didn't result in anything Earth shattering. It didn't take much time for WWE to reevaluate their intentions with American Alpha and they ended things by splitting the team up and the rest, as they say, is history.

The heart of the matter

Jason Jordan lost his treasured spot on Team Raw this week and it was a pretty hard ordeal to watch unfold. After Bray Wyatt disseminated Jordan he was left icing his left knee and the next thing he knew, his Papa Angle was pulling him from the match. The brutal fan chants in Atlanta didn't help much either.

Triple H came down to shock the WWE Universe and insert himself into the match.

PWInsider reports the decision wasn't made to insert Triple H into the match until late in the weekend and Jason Jordan wasn't even told about this change until Sunday night approximately 48 hours before the show.

What's next?

Jason Jordan is in a frustrated state, to say the least. It was really clear on Raw that his character seemed to be unraveling right before our eyes. It might be a matter of time before Jason Jordan's character receives a massive facelift to save his failed push.

Jason Jordan certainly has the ability to run with the best as evidence with his matches with Roman Reigns and John Cena before No Mercy. But now it looks like it might be back to the drawing board, or they could really switch things up and just go ahead and turn Jordan full-heel.

Author's take

When American Alpha was doing their thing I was probably the biggest mark for Jordan and Gable. But since their breakup, it seems like Jason Jordan got the rawest deal (no pun intended).

In spite of his featured spot on the show, fans haven't bought into Jordan being Kurt Angle's baby boy which is saddening because Jason Jordan is one of the hardest working guys on the roster at this point.
