WWE News: WWE announces title match for Fastlane 2019

What's the story?

The next PPV for the WWE, the last one before WrestleMania 35 is Fastlane, where we will possibly see several titles being put on the line.

One of the titles that will be up for grabs are those around the waists of Sasha Banks and Bayley, who will put their new Women's tag team titles on the line for the first time since winning it at the Elimination Chamber PPV.

In case you didn't know...

Sasha Banks and Bayley won the Women's tag team titles earlier this month at the Elimination Chamber PPV, as they Carmella and Naomi, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville, Nia Jax and Tamina, The IIconics, and The Riott Squad to win the first-ever women's tag team titles.

Since then, they haven't defended their titles but will do so at Fastlane.

The heart of the matter

WWE announced this week that Sasha Banks and Bayley will defend their title against the team of Nia Jax and Tamina, at Fastlane. On RAW, Bayley faced off against Jax in a singles match, which she won, as she builds up momentum to defend her title at the Fastlane PPV.

Reports a few weeks ago indicated that Banks was injured which may be one of the reasons she hasn't wrestled often over the past month or so. Meanwhile, Jax has had an interesting few months, having been at the center of controversy following her blow to Becky Lynch's face which ruled her out of a dream match with Rousey, and then attacking R-Truth and entering the men's Royal Rumble match earlier this year.

Fastlane will take place on March 10, 2019, in Cleveland, Ohio.
