WWE News: WWE issues statement on Brock Lesnar vs AJ Styles
What’s the story?
The WWE has issued a statement promoting the upcoming match between Brock Lesnar and AJ Styles.
The statement also asserted that Lesnar and his ‘Advocate’ Paul Heyman will make their RAW return to address Styles and the new challenge.
In case you didn’t know…
AJ Styles dethroned Jinder Mahal as the WWE Champion earlier this week on SmackDown Live.
Although Mahal was supposed to face Universal Champion Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series, the Phenomenal One will now compete in the matchup.
The heart of the matter
Here is WWE's statement on Brock Lesnar vs AJ Styles:
“Jinder Mahal might have been the one to throw down the gauntlet for a Champion vs. Champion Match against Universal Champion Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series, but it will be new WWE Champion AJ Styles who stands in the path of The Beast Incarnate next Sunday night in Houston.”
“Following The Phenomenal One's defeat of The Modern Day Maharaja on SmackDown LIVE in Manchester, U.K., Lesnar and his associate Paul Heyman now look to invite an entirely different potential resident to Suplex City at WWE's fall classic. Most "don't want none" from Styles, but The Phenomenal One has never faced anyone like The Conqueror. Styles had best be watching with the rest of us when Lesnar and Heyman make their red brand return.”
Furthermore, it's intriguing to note that the WWE higher-ups seem to be deviating from their run-of-the-mill promotional practices, and are going full-throttle ahead to promote Lesnar vs Styles — a dream match of sorts.
Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman are scheduled to appear on Monday Night RAW next week, as part of the go-home RAW for Survivor Series.
Lesnar competes against Styles at the upcoming Survivor Series PPV which goes down at the Target Center in Houston, Texas on November 19th.
The sudden shakeup in the Survivor Series card seems to have piqued the interest of fans worldwide.
Both Lesnar and Styles are incredible athletes and are all set to put on a great showing for the fans.
